Privacy Policy

Tippy is an application that tracks sporting bets that a user makes on betting websites. These tracked bets are used to plot analytical data for the user, such as how many bets were won, how much money the user made and other analytical use cases. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use Tippy:

  • The bets you make on betting websites, such as Bet365.com.
  • The amount of money you bet on each bet.
  • The outcome of each bet.
  • The amount of money you win or lose on each bet.

If you choose to share your bets with your friends, we will collect the following additional information:

  • The bets you choose to share.
  • The friends you choose to share your bets with.

How we use your Information

We use your information to provide you with analytical data about your betting activity on online platforms, such as Bet365.com. We may also use your information to improve Tippy and to develop new features and functionality.

If you choose to share your bets with your friends, we will use your information to enable you to share your bets with your friends.

Disclosure of your information

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except as follows:

  • We may share your information with our service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, data analysis, and customer service.
  • We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law or legal process, to protect our rights or property, or to protect the safety of our users or others.

Remote support

The desktop app has an optional Remote support feature that lets Tippy support staff look into problems on your computer. It is off unless you turn it on.

  • You choose what is shared. You turn it on in the app and choose which bookmaker tabs to share, and the app gives you a link. Support can only connect with that link, and only Tippy staff can connect at all.
  • What support can see and do. While connected, support can see and act in each shared tab as if they were at your computer: your balance, bet history and anything else on the page, anything typed or submitted while they are connected, and actions the page can trigger in Tippy, such as recording a bet. They cannot reach tabs you did not share, the main Tippy window or other programs on your computer.
  • What is not shared. Your saved bookmaker passwords are not sent to a shared tab while support is connected; the tab reloads when they leave. Cookies marked HttpOnly are not exported.
  • How it travels. The connection is encrypted end to end between your app and the support engineer and passes through a relay server we operate. The relay cannot read it. It sees the connection's metadata: both accounts, IP addresses, timing and the amount of data. If you also allow a direct connection, your app and the support engineer's computer may connect directly instead of through the relay; each side then sees the other's IP address.
  • What we record. For each session we keep who connected, to which account, when, from which IP address, how it ended and how many times each kind of command was used — not the page content. The app also keeps a local log of the session on your computer.
  • Tools support may use. Support staff may use software tools, including AI assistants provided by our service providers, to analyze what they see during a session. Information from the shared tabs may therefore be processed by those providers on our behalf.
  • You stay in control. The app shows when support is connected and who it is. You can disconnect them or turn the feature off at any time, and it turns itself off after the time you chose (at most 7 days).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website prior to the effective date of the changes. We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically.
